The Salvation Army in St. Catharines continues in the tradition of using brass band music for accompaniment in Sunday services. The band also plays in various performances and visitations throughout the year. Practice is every Thursday evening. Doors open at 7:30 pm and practice starts at 8:00 pm. March 2022 practice has resumed.

Community Care Ministry
Community Care Ministries is a group of spiritually motivated men, women and young people who engage in a compassionate caring ministry. Its mission is to come alongside the vulnerable, the lonely, the sick and the aged with love and acts of mercy.

This fun group of age 50+ meets for fellowship, lunch and to listen to guest speakers. Come join us for an enjoyable lunch the second Thursday of each month starting at 12 noon.
Men’s Fellowship provides an opportunity for all men to meet on a regular basis for fellowship within a Christian environment. To Be Announced
Our dedicated Songsters sing every Sunday morning in our church meeting. They also provide musical ministry at special events including hospitals and nursing home visits. This group meets every Thursday evening for practice starting at 7:00 PM. To Be Announced
Our classes are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (except holidays) at 10:00 am, at The Salvation Army on 400 Niagara Street, with each class lasting approximately 30 minutes. We begin each class with a short devotional thought for the day, followed by the video workout. The videos are easy to follow and include a warm-up, upbeat aerobic walking, and a cool-down. We have a variety of workouts including: Heart Healthy Walk, Walking Down your Blood Sugar, A 2 Mile Closer Walk (w/ Christian music), Walk & Kick, Walk Away the Pounds, etc… The videos lead you, but please feel free to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. Feel free to bring along 1-2 lb weights and/or a stretch band, if you have any of these at home, as some of the videos incorporate them into the workouts. Also bring along your water bottle to keep hydrated during the workout. There is no registration or fee for this program, however there is a jar provided for you to make donations towards the cost of the program if you so desire – there is no obligation.If you are looking to take care of your body in a healthy, positive way – This program is for you!You will find the encouragement and support needed to be healthy, be inspired to take better care of your body, and develop lasting friendships.
